Students walking through the doors of Flower Mound Elementary this year were treated to a few changes for the new school year. Various upgrade projects had been made throughout the entire building this summer.

On the final day of the 2017-2018 school year, construction officially began and went on throughout the entirety of the summer break. Part of that construction included upgrading the building’s walls and bathrooms, with some students saying that they liked all of the new colors, especially since they reminded them of the Dallas Cowboys.

Upgrades were also made to the following:

*Water fountains

*Sinks

*Toilets

*Stalls

Other schools in the area were treated to similar upgrades as well, and all of the renovations were made possible thanks to the 2017 Bond Package Referendum. This referendum also includes the following:

*Safety/security upgrades

*More classrooms

*New technology/career center for students
